Frequently Asked Questions
What is AET?
American Estate & Trust (AET) is a Nevada-chartered trust company and qualified custodian that helps RIAs, fund managers, and investors securely hold and administer alternative assets. We specialize in private investments and qualified accounts, offering institutional-level custody, compliance, and reporting.
What types of accounts do you support?
AET supports a wide range of account types, including individual, joint, trust, IRA, and business accounts.
Can I invite investors to deals through the platform?
Yes. AET’s platform allows you to create investment opportunities, invite investors to participate, and manage capital commitments digitally. The system handles documentation, funding, and custody automatically, reducing administrative work for you and your investors.
Is my investor’s data secure?
Absolutely. AET uses bank-grade encryption and rigorous compliance controls to protect sensitive information. All data transmission and storage meet or exceed state trust standards for custodial security.
Can investors manage their own accounts?
Yes. Investors can log in to view and manage their holdings, update information, and download reports or IRS forms. You retain oversight as the advisor or sponsor, but clients have direct access to their custodial data at any time (permissions are customizable).
